The Baltic is situated on the Quayside in Gateshead, a 10-15 minute walk from Gateshead Town Centre, or a 15-20 min walk from Newcastle City Centre for Newcastle Central Station (train station). The Baltic is accessible for pedestrians from the Newcastle Quayside over the Gateshead Millennium Bridge.

The Tyne Bridge is undergoing a restoration process which involves reducing its standard four lanes of traffic, to just two lanes. One northbound and one southbound. Find out more here.
The Gateshead A167 highway flyover is currently closed so please plan your route carefully and follow official diversion signage when visiting us. Find out more here.
By train
Newcastle Central Station is a 10-15 minute walk to TheBaltic, with direct services from London, Manchester, Leeds and other major UK cities. Taxis are available directly outside the station.
By Metro
The nearest metro station is Monument which is a 10-15minute walk to The Baltic. The metro network connects Newcastle InternationalAirport, Sunderland, and the coastal areas directly to the city centre.
By car
If you are travelling via car you can use the postcode NE8 3BA. Parking spaces are available in the Car Park, behind the building. Follow Signage for 'Gateshead Quays' and 'Other Car Parks' until specific signage for Baltic Car Park becomes visible. Spaces are pay on exit and you can pay by card or cash. Blue badge holders park free.
